U.S. Congressman Kenny Marchant (TX-24) today announced the North Texas U.S. Service Academies Forum, a congressionally sponsored information event for high school students interested in learning more about Academy opportunities.
The North Texas U.S. Service Academies Forum will be held from 8am to 12pm on April 21 at First Baptist Church of Carrollton. This event is free and open to the public.
The event will provide information on the nomination process, evaluation requirements, and the nation’s five service academies which includes the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
Each academy will have a representative present to provide additional information and answer questions.
“The Service Academies provide young people with the necessary tools to become future leaders of America,” said Marchant. “The students who attend these prestigious academies will be educated and trained to fully maximize their potential. The men and women who graduate from the academies will not only be leaders but protectors of our nation’s sacred freedom and security.”
