IRVING – U.S. Congressman  Kenny Marchant (TX-24) was honored last week by the Club for Growth with the Defender of Economic Freedom award. 

The Club for Growth is a fiscally conservative group that advocates limited government, reduced government spending, lowering taxes, and economic freedom. 

The Defender of Economic Freedom award is presented to any congressman who has a voting record of 90% or more in favor the Club for Growth’s advocated platform.

“What an honor it is to receive this award”, said Marchant. “It is pivotal that we implement fiscally conservative policies as they are critical for stimulating economic growth.  I thank the Club for Growth for this award, and their devotion to economic freedom."  

Marchant was one of only fifty-two congressmen to receive this award.
